> 03-11-2016 SOPEC Leader Go to Indonesia to Participate in the Completion Ceremony of Wampu Hydropower Station
On Nov 3, 2016, the Wampu Hydropower Plant（3x15.6MW）ceremony was held at the project site of North Sumatra of Indonesia. Indonesia PLN, Korea POSCO E&C, WEP, China CNEEC and SOPEC participate in the celebration. As the Korea's first overseas investment project in hydropower, Wampu’s successfully operating power achieved good returns and greatly encouraged Korea company overseas investment in hydropower plant. In ceremony, POSCO E&C 's leadership express hope to continue to cooperate with us in the future.
From feasibility study of the project in May 2009 and the following design to bidding and signing of the EPC contract of mechanical and electrical equipment, our company participate in and manage all the procudure with the cooperation with POSCO E&C. In March 2012, the project formally entered into force. In June 2013, the construction began. On May 1, 2016, the three units were transferred successfully and transfer certificate was obtained fluently. After 7 years experience and numerous times modification with Korea POSCO E&C, we made good relationship with the owner and enhanced our international competitiveness.
